Novation recently released the Impulse range of USB Midi Controller Keyboards, which replaced the popular, but ageing, Nocturn series of controllers. Impulse offers a more affordable alternative to the flagship SL MK2 range and come in three differing keyframes, Impulse 25, Impulse 49 and Impulse 61.

Impulse controller keyboards feature a superb semi-weighted action and come loaded with an array of sliders, knobs and trigger pads that deliver serious hands on control over any DAW. Compatibility with Automap 4 also makes this range a breeze to setup – and now it gets even better.

Novation for sometime have distributed Ableton Software in the UK and this partnership was cemented with the release of the incredibly successful LaunchPad control surface. Now offering tighter integration, Impulse USB keyboards have been recommended by Ableton for use with their Live 8 and Suite 8 software platforms.

Now may be just the time to check out Novation’s stunning Impulse range of USB Controller Keyboards, particularly if you’re after a solid front end to Ableton Live 8, or Suite 8.
